The Xiaomi Pocophone F1 is one of the cheapest top smartphones from the year 2018. For just over 300 euros, it offers technology at its flagship level. A currently rolling update is intended to further improve the device in various areas.
Xiaomi updates the MIUI user interface to version “10.3.4.0.PEJMIXM”. Manmohan Chandolu, general manager of Xiaomis Poco brand, announced this via Twitter. After the update, the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 should be able to record 4K videos at 60 frames per second. High-resolution images are therefore much smoother in the future.
Security patch for March included
In addition, a so-called “Game Turbo Mode” finds its way into the smartphone. This is for example available in the Xiaomi Mi9 and improves the gaming performance. This happens – at least for the Mi9 – among other things by the precalculation of game scenes.
In addition, the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 now supports Widevine L1. This should allow you to watch content on streaming services like Netflix in HD. The update also includes the security patch for March 2019 and is therefore already a mandatory installation.
In addition, “App Lock” now supports the facial recognition of the device. This means that you can now unlock individual apps with your face if you have previously provided them with password protection. The update for the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 is about 500 MB in size, which is why the download via a WLAN is recommended. It probably does not reach all users at the same time, so you may have to wait a little while.
