Xiaomi continues its line of cheap fitness tracker: The Xiaomi Mi Band 4 is apparently nearing the release. This was announced by an employee of Huami, a subsidiary of the Chinese smartphone manufacturer. The market launch is expected to take place in the early summer of 2019.

Maybe it is already in May 2019 so far: The Huami CFO David Cui at least have revealed that the months of March and April for the market launch of the fitness tracker are unlikely, reports Android Authority. The Mi Band 4 is supposed to be released “definitely in 2019”. One circumstance, which is to influence the publication, according to Cui is the predecessor: The Mi Band 3 continues to sell very, very well.

Innovative and cheap

Other high-ranking employees of Huami would also have revealed that Xiaomi will introduce new features with the Mi Band 4 again. So far, every new version of the fitness tracker has brought along at least one new function. What the innovation will be this time, but left the Huami staff open.

In another area, the Mi Band 4 is expected to be similar to its predecessors: the extremely low price. The Mi Band 3 cost his start in this country between 40 and 50 euros at import dealers. In his native China, the price was even only just over 20 euros. The fitness tracker is waterproof to a depth of 50 meters and has a battery that lasts up to 20 days at a stretch.
