On April 10, 2019, Samsung unveiled new mid-range smartphones. Without a doubt, the Galaxy A80 with its rotating camera stood in the foreground. But the company has also highlighted other devices. These include the Galaxy A40 and the Galaxy A20e.
The Galaxy A40 is a bit more compact compared to the Galaxy A80. The AMOLED screen measures 5.9 inches diagonally. At the top there is a small recess in which a front camera is located. This so-called waterdrop notch requires little space, which is why you have more image surface available. The Full HD Plus resolution ensures a sharp image. The Galaxy A20e, on the other hand, offers you a 5.8-inch HD Plus screen. This makes the phone a bit more compact, but has a slightly blurred image.
With ultra wide angle
For detailed selfies the front camera resolves with 25 MP. On the back, the Galaxy A40 sports a 16 MP, 5 MP dual camera, which is also suitable for group photography due to its wide field of view. Thus, the mid-range smartphone is not alone: Even the Galaxy A20e has a dual camera with wide-angle (13 MP) and ultra-wide-angle lens (5 MP). According to GSMArena, however, the front camera only resolves at 8 MP.
The Galaxy A20e has 3 GB of RAM, you also have 32 GB of storage space for your data. In the Galaxy A40, however, 4 GB of RAM are installed, in addition, 64 GB of internal memory available. You can expand the memory of both smartphones with a microSD card. Another thing in common: There is a fingerprint sensor on the back of the A40 and A20e.
It is not yet known when the Galaxy A40 and the Galaxy A20e will be available. Also, the prices for Germany Samsung has not yet called. We assume that this information will follow shortly.
