HMD Global is currently rolling out an update for the Nokia 9 PureView . The update includes, among other things, the security patch for April 2019. However, there are apparently other reasons that speak in favor of an installation.

The update brings the Nokia 9 PureView software to version v4.22c, as reported by GizmoChina. Underlying operating system is still Android 9 Pie. The security patch for April 2019 closes all known vulnerabilities in it. Therefore, you should install the update as soon as possible. It is apparently currently rolling out worldwide.

Nokia 9 PureView: Camera App Now Faster?

The security update for April 2019 should be about 250 MB in size. As usual, the download is recommended via a WLAN. Depending on how much data you have, you can also download the update if necessary via the mobile network. Your Nokia 9 PureView should automatically let you know when the update for your device is available.

Alternatively you can look for it in the settings yourself. Note that the April security update is expected to roll in waves as usual – and not reach all users at the same time. If necessary, you will have to wait a bit until it is ready for download for your Nokia 9 PureView.

According to the changelog, the update also improves the user interface of the Nokia 9 PureView. Further details are not apparent. However, users report that the camera app as well as the fingerprint sensor reacted faster. The same should apply to facial recognition. Also the photo quality improves by the update, it is said.
