Does Apple think 2019 bigger? Even the iPhone Xs has a comparatively large screen. But the successor could surpass this smartphone once again. At least that’s the result of a recent rumor.
One of the top models planned for 2019 is said to have an even larger screen than its predecessor, reports 9to5Mac, citing Macotakara. The well-informed source claims Apple will equip one of the upcoming iOS smartphones with a 6.1-inch screen. In addition, another device is planned, whose screen is to measure 6.5 inches in diagonal – as the display of the iPhone Xs Max .
Allegedly, the enlargement is not only done so that the users have more image space available. The iPhones for 2019 should all receive a triple camera . Both the camera module itself and the image sensor probably require more space than a system with two lenses. That is a reason for the larger display of the iPhone Xs successor.
Apple would not be the first company to enlarge its screens by switching to a triple camera. For example, Samsung has equipped the Galaxy S10 and its Plus model with larger displays. For example, the S10 has a 6.1-inch screen, while the Galaxy S9 measures “only” 5.8 inches diagonally. However, the screen occupies almost the entire front. As a result, the housing is only slightly larger than its predecessor. Whether Apple follows this example, we will probably know in autumn at the latest, when the iPhone (2019) is revealed.
