The Huawei P30 Pro has many qualities, most notably an outstanding quadruple camera with an innovative periscope mechanism . But how resilient is the top smartphone? The YouTube Channel JerryRigEverything has studied this for you.

In the video above this article, Tester Zack uses a Huawei P30 Pro in Breathing Crystal. This is the light blue version with gradient. Let’s start with the obligatory scratch test. The display is just as susceptible to scratching as the comparable device: thanks to a protective glass, it only comes to a strong impact on the screen.

Huawei P30 Pro more stable than P20 Pro

The frame, on the other hand, is relatively easy to scratch, which is no surprise, as it is made of aluminum. The glass backside of the Huawei P30 Pro, on the other hand, shows virtually no scratches after processing with the knife. And the quadruple camera seems well protected against it.

The little practice-relevant lighter test leaves a permanent white spot on the display of the Huawei P30 Pro. However, the way the screen works does not affect it in the long run. Zack can use it again after a few seconds as before. Also, the fingerprint sensor in the display is apparently extremely resistant: even after the tester has worked hard with the knife, he continues to perform his work reliably.

Finally, the Huawei P30 Pro has to prove itself in the bending test. This is especially interesting because the predecessor model weakened in this partial test . The P30 Pro makes it better: unlike the P20 Pro, there is no damage here. What further arguments speak for the newer device, you can read in our comparison between the P30 Pro and P20 Pro.
