Google is making changes to its digital assistant for Android. On smartphones running this operating system, the Google Assistant will soon show responses to how your mobile browser would list you search results for the same question.
This is already the case in the US, as TechCrunch reports. On our smartphones, nothing has changed. The search engine giant wants to present you the most important information from now on. So far, users of the Google Assistant for Android had to settle for a slimmed-down overview. In the future, the digital helper will also provide you some graphics – for example, if you ask for a stock price.

In addition, you will receive more information in the future. This should make many previously necessary follow-up questions unnecessary. Thus, the price history of a stock not only indicates its current value, but also how its valuation has recently changed. On the other hand, if you are looking for events at a specific location, the Google Assitant will list them chronologically in the near future – sometimes with matching pictures.
However, the adaptation also has a catch. From his search engine, Google has not just taken over the presentation of the search results. The advertisements appearing there are now also in the Google Assistant again. So far, results about the digital helper were ad-free.
According to TechCrunch, ads are currently only showing in a few cases. Whether it stays that way is questionable. After all, Google has stated to the website that advertisers can not play their ad targeted for Google Assistant users. In addition, they should not receive any further information about them.
