If you want to play Apex Legends on your mobile, you should know that the game is not available for smartphones. As happened with Fortnite, the attackers are taking advantage of the phenomenon that is causing this new video game to launch phishing campaigns and fake apps that infect your terminal with malware.

Apex Legends , the title of the battle royale genre of EA and Respawn set in the Titanfall universe, is reaping great successes that surpass even the Fortnite figures . According to its creators, eight hours after its launch it had already reached one million players, and only a week later it already had more than 25 million registered players.

While Andrew Wilson, CEO of EA, confirmed a few weeks ago that they intend to launch Apex Legends for mobile phones , at the moment there is no date on the horizon, so we will have to wait a bit until the game lands on the smartphones

However, cybercriminals are taking advantage of this phenomenon to trick users, promising Apex Legends APK for Android that actually install malware, phishing campaigns that steal data from victims or scams that lead to the installation of malicious applications.

For example, Lukas Stefanko, researcher at the security firm ESET, reports through his Twitter account  that many YouTube channels are promoting a fake app of Apex Legends for Android whose link already accumulates more than 100,000 clicks in just five days.

On the other hand, the cybersecurity company Lookout warns in its Twitter account that it has detected dozens of domains that are being used to run phishing campaigns related to the game, to promote malicious updates of Adobe Flash Player and to distribute all types of malware , from Trojans to annoying adware.

Therefore, avoid any claim that you can play Apex Legends on Android or iPhone and wait for an official announcement to take place.
