Apple has introduced a whole new set of services on Monday night. But much of the evening revolved around Apple TV Plus and Apple TV Channels – Apple’s new streaming subscriptions.

Apple had invited to the “Special Event” in the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino to announce big news. That the presentation should indeed be something very special, has already become apparent. Numerous hardware innovations were already announced the week before. This evening was all about new services.

Apple TV Channels from May

This content will be shown to viewers on Apple TV in the future. The app has been partially revised and will also provide a whole range of channels available from May, called Apple TV Channels. There you will find third-party content made available by cooperating TV stations and streaming services. These include HBO, Showtime, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu and numerous news and sports channels. Apple TV users only pay for the channels they actually want.
