Apple Arcade lures Apple in the future gamers of all ages in front of the screens. For the exclusive titles, the company has committed game developers from all over the world.

Apple attacks the competition on all fronts: In addition to Apple News Plus, the Apple Card and the innovations around Apple TV Plus, the company from Cupertino has also introduced a new games subscription. Apple Arcade will bring over 100 specially developed and exclusive video games on iPhones, iPads, Macs and Apple TV.

The Californians obviously rely on lovingly designed, youth-free games that are no less promising. The company from Cupertino won numerous indie developers as well as renowned game designers such as Hironobu Sakaguchi, the creator of Final Fantasy.

Apple relies on offline games

The games, unlike those in Google’s new gaming service Stadia, not streamed, but run locally on the devices. They are only playable offline and there will be no additional purchases within the games needed to use all the features. Nevertheless, you should be able to interrupt a game on one device and continue seamlessly on another device. There will be no ads.

This will incur a subscription fee that will allow all games within the bundle to be available to any paying user and their family at no additional cost. How much Apple should cost Arcade, Apple revealed yet. But there is still plenty of time left: Apple Arcade should start in autumn 2019 in over 150 countries.
